Campus inauguration

New academic wing opened at Mukesh Patel Technology Park, Shirpur

The newly constructed D-Wing at SVKM’s NMIMS Shirpur campus was inaugurated with a traditional Satyanarayan Puja in the presence of Hon. Shri Bhupeshbhai R. Patel, Joint President of SVKM, and Mrs. Rita Patel, In-Charge of the Shirpur campus, together with faculty, staff and students.

The wing adds six classrooms, two tutorial rooms, twelve laboratories, two seminar halls, a dedicated workspace for student clubs and the placement department, with specialised facilities for computer vision, big data analytics, high-performance computing and simulation. Addressing the gathering, he was reported as emphasising the importance of providing world-class educational infrastructure to support quality teaching, research, innovation and industry-oriented learning.

Hospital inauguration

Chief Minister inaugurates SVKM’s 1,200-bed hospital at Shirpur

Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, inaugurated SVKM’s Tapanbhai Mukeshbhai Patel Memorial Hospital & Research Centre in Shirpur, Dhule district — a multi-speciality facility of 1,200 beds across approximately seven lakh square feet in its first phase.

The hospital is intended to bring advanced medical care within reach of underserved and tribal populations across Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon and Nashik. Reporting on the project credits it to the leadership of Shri Amrish Patel, President of SVKM, together with Bhupesh Patel, whose vision is described as having been key to bringing it to life.

Rural development campaign

Health, environment, education, social equity, agriculture and rural development campaign

SVKM’s NMIMS Shirpur campus ran an awareness campaign funded by the Mirae Asset Foundation across twenty villages of Shirpur taluka. Shri Bhupeshbhai Patel, Joint President of SVKM, was among the distinguished guests honoured at the inauguration.

The programme addressed water scarcity and conservation, sanitation and environmental health, social equity, agricultural practice, rural infrastructure and access to maternal healthcare. It included an interactive village dashboard presenting data for all twenty villages, expert sessions on disease prevention, water safety and green farming, and a water conservation pledge taken by participants.

Symposium

EduLeaders’ Symposium 2026, NMIMS Mukesh Patel Technology Park

A symposium on educational leadership, innovation and the integration of artificial intelligence into contemporary education was inaugurated in the presence of Hon’ble Shri Bhupeshbhai Patel, Joint President and Trustee of SVKM.

Attendees included Mrs. Rita Patel, In-Charge of the NMIMS Shirpur campus; Dr. Hari Vasudevan, Principal of D. J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Mumbai; Dr. Sunita Patil, Campus Director at NMIMS Shirpur; Dr. Sanjay Toshniwal of the Pharmacy Council of India; and Dr. Vinod Mohitkar, Director of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra.
